Frequently Asked Questions
Yes – we are one of the few Wirral agencies with doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists and life scientists on our book. Our Care Coordinator is a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor who runs complimentary meditation and reflexology sessions.
Home care (often called domiciliary care) is support provided in your own home, so you or your loved one can stay safe, independent and comfortable in familiar surroundings. A Tender Caregivers carer visits at agreed times during the day or night to help with things like washing, dressing, medication, meals, mobility and companionship. Care is completely tailored to your needs and can be anything from a short daily visit to full day support or overnight care.
We provide home care across the Wirral and nearby surrounding areas. If you are not sure whether we can reach your postcode, just get in touch and we will let you know. Wherever possible we match you with local careers who know your community, your GP surgeries and your local amenities.
Our aim is to build a flexible care package that fits around your life. We support children and adults with a wide range of needs. From personal care, help with washing and dressing, medication support, meal preparation, to support for people with learning disabilities or autism, mental health support.
Our domiciliary care service is for adults who need support to manage safely at home. That might be due to age, frailty, dementia, a physical disability, learning disability, autism, a mental health condition, or a long-term health condition. We also support people who are usually independent but need short-term help after illness, surgery or a hospital discharge.
Wherever possible, yes. Consistency is really important in home care, especially for people living with dementia or anxiety. We build small, stable teams around each person so you see familiar faces, and we agree visit times in advance. If we need to make a change, we let you know and introduce any new carer properly.
It begins with a free, no-obligation home care assessment. One of our team will visit you at home to talk through your needs, routines, preferences and what matters most to you. We then design a personalised care plan and agree visit times and costs. Once you’re happy, we match you with suitable carers and confirm a start date. You stay in control and can review or change your care at any time
The cost of home care depends on the length and frequency of visits and the level of support you need. We will always explain our hourly rates clearly and provide a written quote before you decide. We are happy to talk you through the options and work alongside social workers or funding teams
Yes. We provide specialist home care for people living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties.
